This policy explains what data this site handles. The short version: your teams never leave your device, and the only third-party service is Google Analytics for anonymous usage statistics.
Data processed in your browser only
The team builder, type calculator, coverage calculator, random generator and stat calculator all run entirely in your browser. The Pokémon you select, the game you choose and the results you see are never transmitted to this site's servers.
To remember your team between visits, the builder stores it in your browser's local storage under a key beginning with ptb:. It also writes the team into the page address so you can bookmark or share it. You can clear both at any time with the Clear team button or by clearing site data in your browser.
Google Analytics
This site uses Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are visited, from which countries and on what kinds of devices. Google Analytics sets cookies (names beginning with _ga) on the pokemonteambuilder.org domain and collects your approximate location, browser and device type, the pages you view and how you arrived. IP addresses are not stored by Google Analytics 4. The Pokémon you choose in any tool are not part of this data.
You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on or by blocking cookies for this domain in your browser. The site works fully without analytics.
Server logs
The hosting provider keeps standard access logs (IP address, time, requested page, user agent) for security and capacity purposes for a limited period. These logs are not combined with analytics data.
No accounts, no advertising at present
The site has no user accounts and does not require any personal information. There is currently no advertising. If advertising is added later, this policy will be updated to describe the networks used and the cookies they set before it goes live.
